How to unmute notes

1. Open the Instagram app and go to the profile page of the person you want to unmute.

2. Tap the "Following ▼" button next to the Follow button.

3. Select "Mute" from the menu that appears.

4. Turn OFF the mute setting for "Notes".

Now the person's notes will show up again. Easy, right?

However, sometimes even after trying the above steps, you may not be able to unmute someone's notes. In that case, check the following:

• Is the app on the latest version? → Update to the newest version from the App Store.

• Is "Show Activity Status" turned ON? → Change it to ON from the privacy settings.

• Relationship with the person → Notes are only visible for mutual follows or followers you've registered as "Close Friends". Even if it's unrequited, you may be able to see their notes if they've designated you as a "Close Friend".

• Regional restrictions → The Notes feature may not be available in some countries, so you'll have to wait until it becomes usable.
